INTERNAL FORENSIC SPECIALIST IA2301

The position of Internal Forensic Specialist is vacant. The Internal Forensic Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager Internal Forensic Investigation and forms part of Internal Audit Division of the Scheme based in Pretoria.
The total remuneration package will be market related and is negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
The Internal Forensic Specialist will be required to deliver independent and integrated forensic investigations and fraud risk management activities to support the Senior Manager Internal Forensic Investigations in executing the following functions:
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Conduct forensic investigations from start to finish;
- Conduct interviews, compile and review investigation reports;;
- Collect, process, document and analyse all evidence during the investigations / in support of disciplinary proceedings as defined in the project plan;
- Preparation of dockets for criminal and civil proceedings;
- Draft charges against employees and / or compiling case dockets for criminal prosecution;
- Assist in the implementation and control strategies for fraud prevention plan;
- Assist with the development of the fraud risk management training programme and identification of high risk areas;
- Conduct fraud risk assessments, report findings and/or deviations and assist in implementing controls;
- Draft fraud risk management and investigation reports and report closure and presentation of findings to Stakeholders; and
- Assist with development and conducting Scheme wide training to create fraud awareness.
Qualification requirements are:
- Successfully completed the International CFE Examination (NQF level 6);
- National Diploma (NQF level 6) / Degree Forensics, Law, Accounting, Forensic Science and Technology or similar;
- Relevant certification will be advantageous;
- 3-5 years (functional 5 years and 3 managerial level) in forensic investigations and fraud risk management;
- Experience in collection and presentation of evidence at Scheme level, criminal, civil and labour court;
- Ability to run forensic assignments, draft affidavits, write reports and prepare dockets for criminal and civil proceedings;
- Experience in fraud risk management prevention and detection assignments;
- A team player with an investigative mindset;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; and
- Willingness to travel on assignments when required.

PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST CS2302

The position of Procurement Specialist is vacant. The Procurement Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager: Procurement Operations and forms part of the Corporate Services Division. The position is based in Head Office in Pretoria.
The total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
The Procurement Specialist will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Procurement Operations through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Efficiently and effectively roll out and implement the procurement elements flowing from the GEMS strategy;
- Provide professional, ethical and compliant procurement processes and procurement activities up to and including negotiation and contracting for relevant GEMS stakeholders to achieve value for money and high stakeholder satisfaction;
- To consider, plan and coordinate all procurement related requirements of the Scheme;
- To deliver outcomes and objectives as agreed with the Senior Manager, including those contained within the Work Plan;
- Effectively report on procurement activities against the determined procurement principles;
- Review and submit progress against annual procurement plans bi-weekly to the Senior Manager: Procurement Operations;
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements and
- Maintain supplier relationships and assess adherence to contractual conditions and budgetary provisions.
Qualification, skills and competencies requirements are:
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Economics or similar;
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in procurement and particularly in procurement, planning and contracting with at least 3 years of experience at a management level;
- Knowledge of procurement processes and negotiation and contracting;
- Procurement Planning skills;
- Be organised and have good time management skills;
- Sound planning and project management skills;
- Be analytical and have the ability to manage priorities;
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (listening, written and verbal);

- Ensure that any new software integration into GEMS’ and SPN’s systems, meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
- Manage and provide direction for the application development team in support of business operations.
- Identify and resolve program errors.
- Provide technical leadership to project managers and programmers working on development project teams.
- Design, develop, and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software.
- Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
Qualification requirements are:
- A Degree or Diploma in Informatics/ Data Metrics/ Information Sciences/ Software Engineering/or other relevant qualification
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ work experience in the Healthcare Funding/ Medical Scheme industry;
- Minimum 5 years as Manager/Supervisor in an ICT role;
- Must have a strong orientation in Application Development and Deployment in the medical field of work;
- Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, business processes, management, budgeting and business office operations will be advantageous;
- Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems will be advantageous;
- Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities;
- Experience with system design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management;
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization and development;
- Excellent understanding of project management principles
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems;

The position of Clinical Specialist Internal Auditor is vacant. The Clinical Specialist Internal Auditor will report directly to the Internal Audit Specialist Manager and forms part of the Internal Audit Division of the Scheme based in Pretoria.

The Clinical Specialist Internal Auditor will be required to support the Internal Audit Specialist Manager in executing and planning of specialized Medical Scheme (Clinical), support delivery of audits through the following KPA’s:
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Audit universe
- Assist in the development of a risk based internal audit plan
- Identify, assess and document risks and controls
- Develop test strategies for controls adequacy and effective testing
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls
- Management of stakeholder expectations and commitments
- Complete working papers, write finding and audit report for allocated projects
- Provide input into the development of CAATS test cases and scripts
- Support delivery of audits where technical medical Scheme expertise is required, including integrated audits.
Qualification requirements are:
- A Degree/ Diploma in Medical/Clinical Science or similar;
- A qualification in Internal Auditing will be an added advantage;
- Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in the medical scheme industry and at least 3 years’ experience in Internal Auditing within the medical aids schemes industry;
- Experience in performing clinical audits clinical;
- Internal audit experience within the medical scheme’s industry.
