Salary: The total remuneration package will be based on qualifications and experience.
The position of Business Administration Specialist is vacant. The Business Administration Specialist role will report directly to the Senior Manager: Business Administration and forms part of the Office of the Principal Officer. The position is permanent and will be based at GEMS Head Office.
The total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
The Business Administration Specialist will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Business Administration through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

The Business Administration Specialist will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Business Administration through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Develop and implement integrated OPO Business Processes to manage the flow of documents and information to and from the OPO and across all functions of the OPO
- Develop and implement mechanisms to mitigate problems or challenges related to effective implementation of uniform processes and procedures
- Facilitating training across the Scheme to drive adoption and compliance of OPO business processes and methodologies
- Work with Company Secretariat and Legal Counsel to co-ordinate the submissions to the various committees on behalf of the OPO
- Management of the operational aspects of the OPO including:
- the development, implementation, and reporting of OPO operational workplan to drive effective integration of OPO operational activities
- review of documents (memos, letters, presentations, reports, contracts, proposals, invoices, board, submissions etc.) prior to approval
- monitoring and reporting of OPO Risk, Opportunity, Audit and Compliance Management activities
- monitoring and reporting on OPO budget
- Provide operational support on deliverables emanating from the Board, Board Committees, EXCO and other governance structures
- Drive OPO initiated projects and strategic interventions towards clear conclusion results and recommendations using proper project management principles
- Support the Senior Manager: Business Administration with the Annual review of Executive Committee (EXCO), Management Committee (MANCO) Terms of Reference and Workplans and ensure alignment to the Scheme’s strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in various Scheme committees, forums, work-streams, work-group meetings as and when required
Qualification Requirements:
- A Degree/Advanced Diploma/Professional qualification in Business Administration/Project Management/Operations Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ relevant experience
- Experience in developing and implementing administrative processes, procedures and templates
- Project Management experience and exposure essential
- Understanding of the Healthcare and Medical Scheme Industry would be an added advantage.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with service providers.
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and own vehicle and be willing to travel at short notice
