Description: The Organisation requires the services of a Project Administrator in the Corporate Information Technology department and will be based at Groenkloof, Pretoria.
 
Requirements:
  • Be in possession of a National Diploma in IT or Project Management.
  • Should have 1 to 3 years of general experience in administration in the project management environment.
  • Should have a year of experience in administration and office management.
  • Have an understanding of Information and Technology.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONER
Park: Addo Elephant National Park
 
Description:
The Organisation requires the services of a Supply Chain Management Practitioner. This position will be based at Addo Elephant National Park.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Procurement/ Logistics. Post Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management / Procurement/ Logistics will be Advantageous.
  • Experience in a Tourism related field for 10 to 15 years.
  • Should have 3 to 5 years’ experience as a specialist in SCM with experience in the public sector.
  • A working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, PFMA, PPPFA, CIDB, B-BBEE Act and its code of good practice, SANParks Policies and General Procurement Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Sourcing and Procurement processes in the public sector and relevant legislation is essential.
  • Knowledge of SANParks Business.
  • Applicant must be flexible and have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work without supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective team management and leadership abilities, as well as negotiation skills, facilitation, and organization skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support in all aspects related to the procurement of goods, works, and services.
  • Coordinate the identification of regional procurement needs as informed by the Annual Procurement Plan, Business Plan, and Budget.
  • Execute integrated sourcing and procurement processes and follow prescribed public procurement procedures toward fulfilling procurement needs.
  • Execute purchasing of goods and services and manage procurement administration.
  • Negotiate and coordinate the conclusion of the agreements with suppliers to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform and guide on bid specifications, evaluation of tenders within set policies and standards
  • Use your own discretion to manage problems/risks and make recommendations timeously.
  • Build and maintain healthy interpersonal and inter-team relationships.
  • Execute effective supplier relationship management, contract management, industry and market analysis, and commodity management
  • Maintain regional contract registers used as mechanisms to monitor annual payments to service providers.
  • Provide expert advice to end-users regarding the development of short- and long-term service level agreements for repeat purchases in conjunction with the Supply Chain Corporate Office.
  • Build, maintain, and manage stakeholder relations.
  • Monitor and report on supply chain transactions as per the directive from Corporate Supply Chain Office.
  • Maintain purchase records and other important data.
  • Manage risks associated with the procurement of services and goods..
  • Manage an auditable administrative system of the region's assets..

INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME: LIBRARIAN

Description:
Applications are hereby invited from graduates who completed their Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) at a Public Higher Education Institution in South Africa and wish to be placed in SANParks for a period of one year with a monthly stipend of R6,030.00. SANParks is under no obligation to employ the Intern upon completion of the program.
 
Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Library Information Science / Archival Science or Multimedia Studies
  • Applicants must attach a recent copy of their CV, certified copies of their Grade 12 certificate, Academic qualifications with academic transcripts, and ID.

TWO ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE OFFICERS
Park: Kruger National Park
Description: Two exciting vacancies for Environmental Compliance Officers in the Kruger National Park (KNP) is now open
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or Planning. A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years relevant experience in construction and project management.
  • Registration as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa.
  • Minimum four years’ experience in the Environmental Management Field, with specific experience in environmental impact assessments and reporting, environmental compliance/control auditing, EIAs linked to development, and water and waste management.
  • Working within a Protected Area environment will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Code 08 (B) driver’s license.
  • Working within a Protected Area environment will be an added advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of impacts associated with a range of development types in different sectors.
  • Experience with developing and monitoring Environmental Management Systems will be an added advantage.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assess proposed developments and activities within the Kruger National Park.
  • Conduct and report on compliance monitoring with environmental legislation including NEMA, NEM:BA, NEM:PAA, NWA
  • Assist with the implementation of the Environmental Management System for Kruger National Park
  • Audit the requirements of Environmental Management Programmes, as per relevant environmental legislation.
  • Support Environmental Impact Assessment processes to ensure adherence to all environmental related legislation and standards
  • Conduct environmental auditing of development activities in the KNP.
  • Stakeholder management and communication. Advising and liaising with internal/external departments, partners and regulatory bodies .
  • Assessing, analyzing, collating, and communicating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that all Environmental reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines, and schedules.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and EMS inefficiencies and make recommendations to the Environmental Manager.
  • Communicate awareness about environmental legislation requirements and procedures.
  • Support the development and review of management plans.
