Demonstrate elementary communication with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians. Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant legal principles. Basic communication skills, elementary writing skills, ability to function as part of a team and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Batho Pele principles and Patients’ Rights Charter. Must be prepared to work shifts including night duty, weekends, and public holidays. Grade 1: Less than ten (10) years appropriate experience after registration as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant with the SANC. 
 
DUTIES : Assist patients with activities of daily living. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self – development. Maintain hygiene of patients. Provide nutrition. Assist with elimination process. Measure, interpret and record vital signs. Assist professional nurses with clinical procedures.
