The KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Board, trading as Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, is a PFMA Schedule 3C public entity established in terms of the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Management Act (Act No. 9 of 1997).
 
THE ENTITY
The entity is responsible for the management of nature conservation within the Province of KwaZulu-Natal including protected areas as well as development and promotion of ecotourism and facilities within the protected areas. Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife wishes to appoint a suitable candidate into the position of Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management.
 
PERPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide direction to the organization in achieving the strategic SCM business goals and objectives with a view to promote productivity and general business functioning aimed at improving the SCM of the organization.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A BCom degree or equivalent with majors in (supply chain management or procurement)
  • 5 years’ experience in a procurement manager role
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (PPPFA, BBBEE & PFMA)
  • SCM Optimization
  • Government procurement experience 
  • Valid code 8 driver’s license

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • Strategic planning, direction to EKZNW SCM Section
  • To develop and implement EKZNW SCM Strategy
  • Supervise and manage key personnel responsible for effective implementation of the following functions:
  • Demand Management 
  • Acquisition Management
  • Contracts Management
  • Stores and Logistics
  • Provide adequate resources, skilling of SCM personnel
  • Develop plans to mitigates SCM risks identified by Enterprise Wide Risk assessment and ensure SCM compliance 
  • Ensure development of SCM policies and procedures as well as establishment and effective management of relevant SCM Bid Committees
  • Provide value added services to the organization that will yield tangible benefits to the organization; including advice, cost effective measures and effective budget control management.
