EDUCATION, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES SECTOR EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY (ETDP-SETA) The ETDP SETA is looking for a quality oriented, self-motivated and innovative individual to assume responsibility as:
•At least 8 years working experience in the field of Risk Management, of which 5 years experience must have been at Senior Management in Risk management with a Combination of experience within a Corporate Governance, Internal Audit, Forensic and Fraud Prevention environment, preferably in a Public Sector entity *Strong awareness of the SETA landscape and goad knowledge of current risk management guidelines in the Public Sector, particularly National Treasury prescripts for public entities •Knowledge of compliance management and internal audit and assurance practices •Good understanding of integrated risk management processes *Expertise in Risk management identification, assessment, response and mitigation of risks *Thorough understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, business and operational risk and control processes and procedures *Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management concepts, frameworks and methodology *Knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements in the Public Sector and anticipating their impact on the ETDP SETA's operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Manage the full risk and governance environment in line with ETDP SETA's objectives and legislative requirements •Evaluate the organisation's previous management of risks *Implement necessary action to mitigate the strategic and operational risks to an acceptable level *Develop risk management policies, including the quantification of the SETA's risk appetite through specific risk limits *Develop analytical, systems and data management capabilities to support the risk management programmes and activities *Responsible for the implementation of fraud risk management strategies, including risks related to business continuity management *Manage the audit plans *Work with all managers and the internal audit function to manage all risks *Conduct risk evaluation which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organisation, such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors *Recognise the potential threats to operational efficiency and financial stability of the organisation *Manage operational risks on a day-to-day basis which includes monitoring and reporting; this should include measures and procedures for: Understanding key processes, risk identification, risk analysis and assessment, responding to risks identified, assess adequate information and communication, monitoring of risk management activities *Benchmark current practices against the risk management framework and adjust practices as and when necessary *Responsible for Corporate Governance and compliance management *Report and follow-up on compliance with relevant legislation And regulatory requirements •Responsible for further enhancement to current systems to ensure continuous • improvement to processes and workflows.
The ETDP SETA is looking fora suitably qualified and experienced Receptionist and Switchboard Operator to join our dynamic team at the North West Office: PROVINCIAL RECEPTIONIST AND SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR North West Province Salary: R142 364, 88 per annum (Total Cost to Company) Ref. 30728/02 JOB PURPOSE: Under the Provincial Manager's supervision and as the first point contact with the Provincial office, the incumbent will add value by ensuring that all visitors and callers are attended to courteously, professionally and efficiently as per the ETDP SETA requirements and policies. Provide information to callers or transfers calls to appropriate offices as well as perform administrative and other related duties, as required. The successful applicant will be based at the ETDPSETA office located in Potchefstroom, North West. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: *Possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent *Completion of acceptable training in switchboard operation is desired *Minimum of 3 years Receptionist and/or Switchboard Operator experience •Computer literary, especially in MS Office packages *Proven telephone etiquette and problem solving skills *Verbal and written communication skills •Ability to work under pressure and think pro-actively where required *High levels of personal planning and organising skills *Ability to exchange information in a polite and helpful manner and must have a passion for customer service excellence • Good interpersonal relations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Responsible for managing the Switchboard and to answer all incoming telephone calls, dealing with enquiries and where possible re-directing clients to relevant persons *Ensure to always welcome and greet guests/clients in a friendly, polite and professional manner *Redirect all queries and complaints to the Provincial Manager *Provide efficient (ensuring receipt by the person who was called) and thorough message taking and distribution thereof to relevant persons *Ensure at all times whilst on duty, the neatness and tidiness of the entrance, reception and boardroom areas *Assist with welcoming of attendees for relevant functions/events and directing them to appropriate venues *Effectively manage the reception of clients *Create systems of recording and reporting on queries *Provide general information and manage internal and external calls *Receive walk-in visitors and clients and deal with their requirements expeditiously •Administration of incoming and outgoing courier and keep documents/parcels for collection and delivery *Answer face-to-face enquiries and provide information when required *Perform other administration functions as and when called upon to do so.
