OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER 
Centre: HEAD OFFICE (EAST LONDON)

Purpose
The Occupational Health and Safety Officer is responsible for co-ordinating the  implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety strategy, plan, and policy in terms of  the relevant legislation within ECPTA, including Nature Reserves, Head Office and Regional  Offices. 
 
Requirements
• Minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent relevant qualification with a minimum of 3 (three) years relevant experience 
• SAMTRAC training course is a prerequisite. 
• Valid driver’s license 
 
Key Performance Areas 
• OHS Compliance: Ensure compliance to the relevant legislation. 
• Health and Safety Committees: Ensure the establishment and functioning of OHS Committees across ECPTA workstations. 
• Injury on Duties: Compliance to COIDA and other safety standards and protocols. 
• Training: Provide guidance, assistance, education, and training to all employees, including OHS committees to improve levels of safety and to minimise risk areas in the workplace and possible accidents. 
• Administration: Accurate relaying and processing of documentation.

TRAINING COORDINATORS (X2) - (5 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT) 
Centre : Lusikisiki Office 
Level : C - Upper 
 
Purpose
Reporting to the Rehabilitation Manager, the Training Coordinators will coordinate and support the implementation of Training and Development interventions aimed at beneficiaries. 
 
Requirements 
  • A minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, or equivalent qualification in Natural Biodiversity, Biodiversity and Conservation, Environmental Management and Sustainability or relevant NQF 7 qualification with a minimum of 3 years Training and/or education work experience. 
  • A Valid driver’s license. 
 
Key Performance Areas 
  • Training coordination: Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate training policies. Consolidate annual provincial training needs and compile an annual training budget for the programme. 
  • Development and implementation of a social development strategy: Coordinate the development and implementation of a social development strategy for the programme. 
  • Development of Stakeholder engagements partnerships, EPWP liaison and coordinating: Liaise with key external stakeholders, particularly DPW, DFFE, SETAs, and CIDB. Integrate relevant government priorities into the programme. Coordinate the training development components of the programme’s relationship with WESSA, including contract management. 
  • Social development and training research: Participate in the development, evaluation, and operationalization of research products relevant to social development and training. Initiate research focused on social development and training. 
  • Compliance of the Working for Wetlands/land (erosion) and alien invasive programmes with relevant legislation: Coordinate the development of health and safety programme, standard operation procedures and reporting matrix. Monitor the implementation of health and safety regulations, compliance, and training requirements.

REHABILITATION MANAGER (5 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT) 
Centre : Umtata Regional Office 
Level : D - Lower 
 
Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Management N2 Biodiversity Offset Project, the Rehabilitation Manager will coordinate, implement, manage, monitor, and evaluate environmental rehabilitation projects. 
 
Requirements 
  • A minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Tourism Management or equivalent qualification in Natural Biodiversity, Biodiversity and Conservation, Environmental Management and Sustainability or relevant NQF 7 qualification. 
  • A minimum of 5 + years of project management or relevant experience with at least 2 years Supervision experience. 
  • A project management qualification will be an added advantage. 
  • A Valid driver’s license. 
 
Key Performance Areas 
  • Project Contracts Management: Manage the finalisation of project contracts with implementers. Coordinate and implement environmental rehabilitation projects. Develop project plans and manage the achievement of deliverables against project plans. 
  • Procurement Management: Initiate tender processes for projects. 
  • Manage Project Training: Conduct needs analysis and prioritise training needs. Manage the finalisation of Project Training plans with implementers. 
  • Compliance: Manage the implementation of projects in compliance with all special conditions and all applicable regulations. 
  • Financial Management: Compile budgets for project implementation. 
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and cost benefit analyses. Pro-actively track and manage all risks.
  • People Management: Manage the performance of the subordinate/s in accordance with the policies and procedures of the ECPTA.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR: N2 WILD COAST BIODIVERSITY OFFSET PROJECT 
Duration : 5 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT 
Centre : Lusikisiki Office 
Band : B - Upper 
 
Purpose
Reporting to the Rehabilitation Manager, the Project Administrator will ensure that an efficient and effective administrative support system is developed and implemented for the Project Management Division. 
 
Requirements
  • Grade 12; a minimum of 3 (three) to 5 (five) years’ relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A further minimum experience of 1 (one) year in project management administration is a pre-requite. 
  • Computer literacy and basic understanding of Pastel. 
  • Previous experience in tourism and or conservation will be an added advantage. 
  • A Valid driver’s licence. 
 
Key Performance Areas 
  • General administration and support: Coordinate all travel and accommodation in line with prevailing policy, procedure and budget. Ensure that all vehicle maintenance, repairs, cleaning and minor services of vehicles takes place. 
  • Financial administration: Ensure all requests comply with the supply chain policy. Request quotations and process purchase orders and invoices and ensure authorization thereof. Assist the manager with the expenditure control and compile expenses report. Monitor the availability of funds as per the budget and manage all fund transfers for the Department. 
  • Project administration: Capture infrastructure projects information onto MIS and IRS system to indicate the number of jobs created. Assist with the compilation of progress reports of projects, as well as appointment letters of service providers and regret letters.

OUTREACH MANAGER: N2 WILD COAST BIODIVERSITY OFFSET PROJECT 
Duration : 3 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT 
Centre : Lusikisiki Office 
Level : D - Lower 
 
Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Management: N2 Wild Coast Biodiversity Offset Project, the Outreach Manager will support ECPTA by ensuring effective engagement with N2 offset project stakeholders to achieve rehabilitation, long-term conservation, and socio-economic beneficiation in priority areas in the Wild Coast. 
 
Requirements
  • A three-year tertiary qualification in Conservation Management or Social Sciences plus 5 years’ experience in conservation and community development
  • Code EB motor vehicle license - 4X4 experience will be an added advantage. 
 
Key Performance Areas 
  • Stakeholder engagement: Manage the Outreach Facilitators and coordinate the N2 Offset outreach programme. 
  • Community-based biodiversity conservation: Negotiate with stakeholders to participate in the development and implementation of rehabilitation and biodiversity conservation plans and projects. 
  • Institutional support: Facilitate negotiation, drafting and signing of Agreements. 
  • People Management: Monitor adherence to ECPTA policies and procedures and manage subordinates by assigning work/duties and assessing progress and performance. 
  • Financial management and budget planning: Manage allocated budget and ensure work plan is in line with budget.
