ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (TRIBUNAL SUPPORT): OFFICE OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTOR REF NO: DEDAT 03/2024 
(12 Month Contract) 
SALARY : R444 036 per annum (Level 09), plus 37% in lieu of benefits 
CENTRE : Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government 
 
REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate 3-year bachelor’s degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in the legal field; A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a legal and/or regulatory environment. Recommendation: Admission as an attorney or Advocate; Working knowledge of legal processes; A valid code B (or higher) driving licence. DUTIES : Administrative and operational services provided to the Western Cape Consumer Affairs Tribunal (WCCAT); Render a prosecution service to WCCAT; Project implementation and administration; Operational plan development and implementation of counterfeit goods operations; Financial management.
