PROGRAMME MANAGER TEMP (GAUTENG) Reference Number: PRM Description Programme Manager (PRM) 6 Months Contract The Water Research Commission (WRC) is a dynamic hub for water and sanitation knowledge, innovation, and intellectual capital, providing leadership and the support research, development and innovation of water and sanitation solutions. It engages stakeholders and partners involving water and sanitation challenges and opportunities, which are crucial to South-Africa’s sustainable development and economic growth and is committed to promoting a better quality of life for all. The WRC is a schedule 3A public entity and adherence to required legislation is imperative to the organization’s strategy and values. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced individuals for the Pretoria-based position. At the WRC we are constantly looking for more efficient and effective ways to develop and implement Programme specific strategic plans and drive performance excellence. If you are a skilled, motivated, and dedicated Programme Manager who will be able to market and communicate WRC’s plans and manage partnerships, then this opportunity is for you. The position of a Programme Manager will provide you with an opportunity to Develop and oversee programme specific activities, stakeholder engagement, skills, and capacity building support, marketing and communication plan/s, drive performance excellence while living the WRC values and supporting values-based culture. The Programme Manager will form part of the Research, Development and Innovations Team and will report to the Executive Manager: Business Development and Innovation. Applicants must be in possession of a master’s degree in Natural Science/Engineering/Social Science and 3 years’ experience in the National System of Innovation. A PhD degree in Natural Science/Engineering/Social Science and/or Accredited Programme Management Training will be advantageous.
