AGRICULTURAL AID (X 2 POSTS) (P17) MBOMBELA CAMPUS The primary role of this position is to undertake general maintenance activities and to provide general support for activities related to moving assets and furniture , preparation of venues for activities, marking and preparation of sports fields. Collection of garbage and garden refuse; campus wide litter picking, execute general horticultural practices in the gardens and on the grounds (pruning, weeding, pest control, irrigation & maintain lawns/ grass areas). Maintain equipment under your control and report faults to repair. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 10 or equivalent. • National Senior Certificate would be an added advantage. • Minimum of three (3) years' of relevant service experience in domestic or commercial landscaping or gardening environment and willing to work extended hours, when necessary. • Handyman work experience would be an added advantage (plumbing, painting, bricklaying, plastering and paving). LIBRARY ASSISTANT: AFTER HOURS/WEEKEND P11 SIYABUSWA CAMPUS The primary role of this position is to support the Director: LIS and the team in providing library services after hours and on weekends. The Library Assistant performs a variety of library administrative duties including performing circulation duties; Inter-library Loans; shelving library materials; and also provides basic information services to users. Library Assistant: After-Hours/Weekend performs library operations during term time from 12:00–20:00 during the week and 08:00–13:00 on Saturdays. This position requires the incumbent to work normal hours (07:30–16:00) during recess and 14:00–22:00 during exam period.
