Job Title: Group Executive: Supply Chain Management (2B)
(Position based in Silverton)
Reports to: Group Chief Financial Officer
Summation
Responsible and accountable for the strategic executive leadership of supply chain management function relating to procurement and logistics activities for SAPO Group. Member of Pro-Capex Committee (Investment Committee).
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the Group Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy and policies
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the function
• Manage and enable strategic supplier relationships
• Align Group SCM activities to support SA Post office business strategy
• Develop and monitor SCM risk management strategy
• Influence SCM impacting stakeholder relationships
• Direct and manage major spend sourcing and contract negotiations
• Direct and manage SCM best practises implementation
• Ensure the efficient management, control, compliance and reporting of the function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, company specific policies and regulations, national legislation, fraud prevention and risk management principles, Corporate Governance, Skills development, Delegation of authority, etc..
Minimum Requirements
• Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Commercial (NQF Level 8)
• 10 years in senior strategic management position. Proven track record in running an entity or large division
