BUSINESS ANALYST 
(Position based in Head Office - Pretoria)
Reports to: Business Analyst Specialist
 
Summation
Manage delivery of business related project specifications to support business objectives and projects. Work closely with the business enterprise architect, process optimisation, data analyst, business users and project managers to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives from a requirements and business solution perspective.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure delivery of business requirements specifications that meet the agreed customer and IT objectives and within agreed timelines
• Develop, implement and manage efficient and effective methods / practices to ensure quality and timely delivery of deliverables
• Ensure compliance of deliverables to business and IT standards. Establish a set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of the deliverables, artefacts and outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate the set of practices with a view to improving the integrity, quality and timely delivery of the outcomes and deliverables
• Effective application of business analysis and process analysis methods and practices
 
Minimum Requirements
• A relevant National Diploma / National Certificate in Business Analysis (NQF level 6) and/or
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma [NQF Level 7) in Project / Program / Portfolio Management / Business Administration / Informatics or relevant field
• Post graduate qualification linked to the above will be an advantage
• 1-5 years’ experience in business analysis, business process analysis and software development
 
 
Knowledge
• Knowledge of the following areas of business analysis and business process analysis:
• Research, development, implementation and management of best practice methods and practices
• Maintenance and management of an analysis artifact repository
  • Developing position papers into business analysis
• Governance
• IT Standards (system engineering and project management) would be an advantage
• Requirements validation and verification methods
• Policies and standards development and application
• Quality Management
• Security Management
• Sound grasp of what is the state-of-the-art, major trends and best practices in business analysis and business process analysis
