QUALITY MANAGER (NEW ROLLING STOCK)
SALARY GROUP: Management Level

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION: To manage and supervise quality assurance inspection services at the manufacturer’s facility.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs):
1. Manage quality assurance inspections and re-inspections during carbody assembly and vehicle 5-stage fit-out.
2. Determine the unit’s priorities and ensure effective resource allocation (e.g. rostering of the QA Team at Dunnottar, Wolmerton, inter-province train moves, sub-supplier audits etc.) to meet business needs and priorities
3. Ensure the unit complies with relevant health and safety requirements
4. Serve as a point of escalation for disputes between the PRASA QA Team and the Gibela QA, Engineering and Production staff.
5. Report on all quality assurance activities.

2. Monitoring and reporting of the performance of new trains in service.
3. Liaise with The Manufacturer’s representatives.
4. Liaise within PRASA.
