COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING EXECUTIVE
Location: Working on Fire Head Office, Nelspruit | Midrand | or Cape Town
Job Profile:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual for the Communications & Marketing Executive role. The role is responsible for planning and directing the organisation’s overall Marketing & Communication strategy as well as overseeing communicating and marketing the company’s image to clients and the general public. The role will ultimately be accountable for the overall strategic direction and an effective / efficient Communications & Marketing services in the organisation.
Reports to: Managing Director
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and ensure implementation of WOF’s Marketing & Communication strategy / Manage and take accountability for the development and alignment of the Communications & Marketing strategy with the business strategy and ensure the active execution of the strategy.
- Coordinating and managing the development and production of Communication & Marketing materials for all organisational initiatives.
- Oversees and writes or edits development documents including Marketing and Communications materials.
- Provides strategic leadership to the editorial direction of organisational communications products and services
- Provide strategic direction for Internal & External Communication Department.
- Responsible for overall budget planning, control and management of Marketing & Communication funds in line with strategy.
- Alignment of branding across the organisational initiatives.
- Guarding, monitoring and ensuring that organisation’s reputation is protected and enhanced internally as well as externally.
- Ensure Marketing & Communication processes are effective and efficient as per needs of the organisation.
- Oversees and writes speeches and develops advancement position papers for senior management.
- Overseeing production Marketing & Communication materials from draft creation through distribution of final product to targeted audiences.
- Provide guidance and leadership to working groups in planning, coordinating and executing original communications products and publications related to special events and programs.
- Work with PR agencies to achieve high level press coverage promoting headline brand messages and tactical support for product/ system/ process initiatives. Organise senior team meetings with key press targets.
- Prepare and provide regular (monthly) analysis and reporting on Marketing & Communications initiatives.
- Manage content across various platforms.
- Responsible for the effective business partner function by working closely with the business unit leaders to identify issues/opportunities and the communications / marketing implications and continuously sharing between Executives.
- Responsible for the overall planning, control and management of the Communication & Marketing departmental budget.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other business degree is required.
- Post graduate qualification in Communications, Journalism or Marketing will be advantageous.
- Social media experience will be an added advantage.
- 5-10 years relevant experience.
