POSITION: ALUMNI RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Location: Western Cape
 
Job Profile:
Organises and coordinates alumni programmes and services designed to foster and strengthen the relationship between the programme and its alumni.
  • Builds alumni relations, provide administrative support to provincial projects.
  • Accountable for development and assessment of Alumni relations programme.
  • Develop, coordinate and report on multiple projects, activities and initiatives.
 
Reports to: Capacity Development Manager
 
 
Key Performance Areas:
  • Organises, coordinates and developments alumni relations programme and recommends short, medium- and long-term goals.
  • Promotes and fosters effective Alumni relations through continuous written and personal contact with Alumni in conjunction with Human Capital Management.
  • Provides support Provincial Alumni Association committees and alumni groups as assigned.
  • Develops, designs, and arranges for publicity and promotional materials for Alumni events/services in conjunction with Communications department.
  • Performance necessary administrative functions such as record keeping, reports, correspondence, programme budget and maintain records and audits.
  • Evaluates and monitors effectiveness of Alumni programmes, services and events and identifies issues and makes recommendations and ensures changes are instituted.
  • May supervise or train support staff as needed.
  • Performs related duties as required.
 
 
Job Requirements:
  • Qualification in the fields of Administration/Humanities/Public Relations/Social Sciences or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in organising events, managing relations (alumni and alumni association) and services designed to foster the relationship between WOF and its Alumni.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, direct and coordinate multiple projects including events.
  • May require background in writing, editing and digital platforms.
  • Skills – organised, efficient and good interpersonal skills, and planning skills.
  • Ability to scrutinise and present trends and analysis.
  • Must be able to think critically and perform related duties.
  • Willing to travel when required.
  • Must have own laptop and cell phone.
