POSITION: RENEWABLE ENERGY ARTISAN - ASSISTANT LECTURER 
 
BACKGROUND
Western TVET College is one of 50 Technical TVET Colleges in South Africa, whose seat is in Randfontein based in the Rand West City Municipality, it has four campuses in Randfontein, Krugersdorp Central, Krugersdorp West, Carletonville, and a satellite campus in Westonaria. 
Western TVET College has been a leading institution in providing high-quality TVET programmes since 2003. We strive to offer our students a comprehensive range of practical and industry-relevant courses to equip them with the necessary skills. These courses assist our students in gaining the knowledge for a successful career. Furthering our offering and to broaden our reach we are seeking young dynamic leaners to undertake an artisan training initiative on renewable energy technologies. 
 
PURPOSE
The purpose of the advert is to invite unemployed youth between the age of 18 and 30 years with Electrical Engineering background to apply for an Assistant Lecturer training on Renewable Energy Artisan in China. 
 
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the recruitment process is to create a poll of young graduates who after graduating would be able to train other unemployed youth. 
The general objective of the recruitment process can be summarised as follows:

REQUIREMENTS
The following mandatory requirements are needed for all aspiring learners who want to apply for the 9 available training opportunities in Western TVET College: 
  • A minimum of Report 191 N3 Electrical Engineering certificate, N6 Electrical Engineering certificate would be an added advantage. 
  • A minimum of NC(V) L4 certificate in Electrical Infrastructure Construction 
  • Learners residing within and who have studied in high schools within the West Rand District municipality (Rand West City, Mogale City and Merafong City Local Municipalities). 
  • Must be between the age of 18 and 30 years.




MATTERS OF NOTE 
Applications must be accompanied by the following documents: 
  1. A fully completed application form obtainable from the college website. 
  2. Certified copies of: ID, N3 or N6 Certificate and/or NC(V) L4 in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Infrastructure Construction for NC(V) students. 
  3. A matric certificate is not compulsory but may be an added advantage. 
  4. A comprehensive curriculum vitae. 
  5. A covering letter detailing why you should be considered for this opportunity. 
  6. Applicants shall be subjected to a vigorous recruitment process that includes interviews, presentations and medical examinations as required by the People’s Republic of China and Chinese Culture Centre.
