Walter Sisulu University is a multi-campus, comprehensive University, with its seat at its Nelson Mandela Drive campus in Mthatha. The University has four campuses in Mthatha, Butterworth, Buffalo City and Komani. Applications are hereby invited for the following position based in Komani Campus.

DEPARTMENT OF OPERATIONS AND ICT
ARTISAN PLUMBER: FACILITIES (P10) PERMANENT
Ref: WSU-KOM/2025/07
Qualifications:
- National-N-Diploma (NQF Level 5) in Civil Engineering plus Trade Test in Plumbing or National Diploma/Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Building (NQF Level 6)
- Driving License will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience working as Plumber (Internship experience will also be recognised)
- Trainee Plumber in an Academic Institution will be a huge advantage
- Knowledge of relevant system software’s.
Key performance areas:
• Must carry out instructions received from line manager with regards to repairs and maintenance.
• Carry out new installations and replacements.
• Repairs and maintains water piping, soil waste and vent piping for all plumbing fixtures.
• Service urinals and flush masters and water reticulation systems.
• Installs plumbing piping systems as well as piping revisions for remodelling and additions to the various buildings of the campus.
• To assist and train the assistance in all aspects of maintenance/repairs.
• Ensure all tools and university equipment are well looked after.
• To assist as and required in laying out any venue for special functions as and when required.
