Qualification:
  • Master’s degree in psychology (Counselling/Clinical/Educational) 
  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the following categories (Clinical, Counselling, Educational) is mandatory. 
  • Valid South African Driver's License (Code 8 or 10) 
 
Minimum Experience: 
  • Minimum of 6 (six) years’ experience as a practising Psychologist in Student Counselling, preferably in an Institution of Higher Learning.

​EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: OPERATIONS AND ICT SERVICES

MTHATHA CAMPUS
 
The Executive Director: Operations and ICT is a strategic leadership position responsible for providing executive oversight, direction, and coordination of the University’s operations portfolio, which includes Facilities Management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Project Management Office (PMO) and Residence Administration and Student Accommodation (RASA). The incumbent will ensure quality service delivery in infrastructure sustainability, digital transformation, and student accommodation that is aimed at supporting the University’s academic mission. 
The position reports to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Institutional Support and Development. 
 
Key Performance Areas: • Strategic leadership and Governance • Infrastructure and Facilities Management • Information and Communication Technology (ICT) • Residence Administration and Student Accommodation • Operational Risk Management and Compliance • Financial and Resource Management • Human Resources Management. 
 
Minimum Requirements: • A relevant Master’s degree (e.g. in Engineering, Built, Facilities/Operations Management, Information Technology or Business Administration) • At least 10 years’ of progressive experience in operations (facilities management, ICT, or related areas), preferably within the higher education sector • At least 5 years’ must have been in a senior position in a large organization, preferably a tertiary institution • Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
