​Walter Sisulu University is a multi-campus, comprehensive University, with its seat at its Nelson Mandela Drive campus in Mthatha. The University has four campuses in Mthatha, Butterworth, Buffalo City and Queenstown. Applications are hereby invited for the following position based (Komani Campus).

LECTURER: EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES 
(P-08) PERMANENT X2

 Qualifications: 
  • Master of Education or equivalent qualification (NQF Level: 09). 
  • Undergraduate/ Postgraduate in Education qualification applicant must have studied principles of education, comparative education, philosophy of education, psychology of education, etc. 
  • DEd/ PhD will be an advantage (NQF Level: 10) 
  • Teaching qualification is an inherent requirement 
 
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school, OR 
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience lecturing professional studies in a Higher Education Institution. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
  • Learning and Teaching in blended learning environment. 
  • Personal, professional and academic development 
  • Supervise postgraduate students and perform administrative duties related to research activities.
  • Research and publishing in accredited journals. 
  • Development of programmes and curriculum. 
  • Community Engagement. 
  • Administration and other delegated duties. 
 
Skills and Competencies Required: 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Well-developed computer skills and innovations. 
  • Conflict management skills with less temper.
