JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
• Completing a doctoral qualification with specialisation in the field of Entrepreneurship.
• Contributing towards effective teaching and learning in Entrepreneurship and related subjects as delegated by the Head of Department.
• Contributing to online course design, maintaining quality study guides and subject files, and developing teaching portfolios of evidence that adhere to high quality standards.
• Assessing and moderating formative and/or summative assessments.
• Developing curriculum and instructional materials in line with the university and SAQA guidelines.
• Participating in national and international conferences and publishing research findings in accredited journals.
• Fulfilling student and academic administration and reporting duties in line with assigned responsibilities.
• Displaying sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
APPLICATION CRITERIA:
Qualifications and Experience:
• A relevant Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Master of Business Administration (MBA), or any Business Management-related Master’s degree with a research project specialising in Entrepreneurship, with a minimum pass mark of 70% (Compulsory)
• Willingness to register for a doctoral qualification with specialisation in the field of Entrepreneurship and the ability to complete it within six years
• Membership and certification with relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage
• Evidence of research publications in DHET-accredited journals will be an added advantage
To be eligible for selection for a nGAP post, applicants must meet the following criteria, in addition to the university’s requirements:
• Demonstrate an interest in becoming an academic
• Be a South African citizen
• Be 40 years of age or younger
• Show evidence of eligibility to undertake doctoral study
• Be willing to commit to placement at the appointing university for the full duration of the Ngap
