uPHONGOLO Local Municipality invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacancy:
MANAGER LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM
SALARY SCALE: Task Grade 16 of a Grade 2 Local Authority R517, 755.6-R672, 066.96 (Plus Travelling and Cellphone allowance as per approved council policy)
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12*B-Degree in Development Studies/Business Administration/Economics and or equivalent qualification. *Must have 2-3 years' experience in Local Economic Development. *Must have valid code B (08) driver's license. *Must have computer literacy.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Planning, Managing and evaluating all Economic Development activities in the municipality. *Planning and Managing Local Economic Development and programs within the municipal areas to ensure objectives in terms of IDP are met. Coordinate specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and results indicators of the division. *Planning and managing agricultural and forestry development programmes within the municipal areas to ensure that objectives in terms of IDP are achieved. *Planning and managing the implementation for the development and maintenance of SMME's programs in terms of IDP.
