Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacancy:
INTERNAL AUDITOR
Salary Scale: Task grade 11 of a Category 2 Local Authority (R266 521,20 - R345 957,24) per annum plus applicable benefits to Local Government as per the Main Collective Agreement
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12. National Diploma/ Degree in Internal Auditing/ Financial Accounting or equivalent relevant qualification. Candidate must have 3 years' experience in Internal Auditing within local government. Must have communication, coordination, report writing, presentation, planning, project management and analytical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Documenting all relevant systems, procedures, operations, transactions, flows and activities identified by the audit plan. *Identification and analysis of risks to systems and processes. *Identification and analysis of control employed by client management. *Performing process analysis and detailed testing of transactions andprocesses. *Report on weaknesses on the systems of internal control and make recommendations to the clients. *Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with the approved audit methodology and IIA standards.
