GRADE 07 
 
The purpose of this position is to provide technical advice on programme and curriculum design with a view to enhance the quality of the submissions for approval, accreditation and registration of academic programmes at UNIZULU as well as to manage quality assurance activities for new programme approval and submission of programmes to relevant key stakeholders in Higher Education. 
 
KEY ACTIVITIES
•Curriculum design/review of new and existing programmes
•Regulatory requirements pertaining to HEQC, DHET, Professional bodies and SAQA.
•Quality Assurance Consulting

Knowledge
• Knowledge of the programme approval strategies, structures, policies and procedures at UNIZULU.
• A thorough knowledge of the external regulatory environment relating to Programme Approval by the Department of Higher Education and Training, Programme Accreditation by the Higher Education Quality Committee, and Programme Registration by the South African Qualifications Authority.
• Thorough understanding of the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF) and requirements for programme design within the framework.

FINANCE DIVISION 
FINANCIAL MANAGER 
REFERENCE NUMBER: 2024/07/MD20 
GRADE 7 
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the University’s financial operations, including establishing and monitoring internal controls with regards to financial and operational processes. The role is expected to provide timeous, accurate and meaningful internal and external financial reports, as per legislative and University requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A CA(SA) qualification, postgraduate qualification, accounting articles, or management experience in the relevant field would be a recommendation. 
• Experience in the Higher Education sector would be an added advantage.

ASSETS OFFICER 
REFERENCE NUMBER: 2024/07/MD40 
GRADE 10 
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the University’s fixed assets. This includes recording the cost of newly acquired assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of fixed assets. 
 
KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Asset verification and reviews of fixed asset schedule 
  • Reconciliation of assets 
  • Asset capitalisation in terms of IFRS 
  • Administrative duties 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field. 
  • Three (3) years’ relevant experience. 
 
PREFERENCES
  • Accounting articles, a postgraduate qualification and experience in Asset Control would be an advantage. 
  • Experience in the Higher Education sector would be an added advantage.
