The position responsible for: Researching, writing, capturing visual content and editing stories for multiple platforms; Gathering information, writing stories, making broadcasts and using social media to keep University stakeholders informed about development at the institution; Combining text, images, sound, videos and graphics, to tell a story; Sampling animations, data, video, graphics and audio in multimedia; Livestreaming on YouTube, Facebook, Zoom and other platforms using Black Magic.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
  • Minimum National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communication Science. 
  • Proven experience in driving social media campaigns. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working within a communications and marketing department in a higher education institution. 
  • Experience in Videography and non-linear editing exposure. 
  • Knowledge of broadcast-quality camera equipment. 
  • Computer literacy.

FINANCE DIRECTORATE 
TREASURY MANAGER

The purpose of this position is to manage the University's liquidity efficiently and ensure optimal investment performance in line with finance best practices. The incumbent will also support compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) across Treasury, Asset Management, and Project Accounting functions to enhance the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting within Finance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Bachelor of Accounting Science. 
Five (5) years’ relevant experience

PREFERENCES
  • A CA(SA) qualification. 
  • Completed accounting articles. 
  • Experience in the Higher Education sector. 
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IFRS 13, IAS 16, and IAS 20.

FINANCE DIRECTORATE 
LOANS OFFICER

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the loans administration function within the Financial Aid department. The role is responsible for ensuring that bursaries are administered in line with both the NSFAS rules and regulations, and the University policies and procedures.
