Duties and responsibilities:
•    Clean designated/assigned areas.
•    Take stock of cleaning materials and request new materials, as required.
•    Pick up and dispose of litter
•    Operate hand and power tools applicable to the trade, such as a brush cutter, snapper, blower, push mower, precision cutter, etc.
•    Perform irrigation maintenance when required.
•    Mark sporting areas, as required.
•    Trim trees, mow, rake, and trim lawns and/or athletic fields.
•    Assist in various maintenance activities as required.
•    Operate a motor vehicle/tractor, when required, to transport materials and equipment, as
appropriate to the position.
•    Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
•    Attend meetings with the team leader as scheduled
•    Lift, move and manipulate heavy objects, when required.
•    Apply/spray fertilizer and/or pesticides according to procedure/instructions.
•    Review and inspect equipment/supplies to ensure proper care in the use and maintenance thereof.

Inherent requirements:
•    Grade 10 on NQF Level 2 (attach proof).

Duties and responsibilities:
•    Provide mechanical assistance to various departments within UFS.
•    Research, design and manufacture laboratory (lab) and other equipment in collaboration with lecturers and postgraduate students.
•    Maintenance and repair of various lab equipment.
•    Installation of new equipment.
•    Upgrades to older equipment.
•    Drawing and design using Computer-Aided Design (CAD), for example, Solid Works.
•    Programming of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines (Mill / Lath / Plasma / Waterjet / Laser).
•    General administration, including but not limited to keeping of time sheets and records of services.
 
Inherent Job Requirements:
​​​​​​​•    Completed trade as Tool Maker (Red Seal)(attach a copy).
•    A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in a mechanical environment.
•    Competent in programming and working on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines.
•    Competent in Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding.
•    Valid driver's license (attach copy)
Recommendations:
​​​​​​​•    Five (5) years' relevant experience working as a toolmaker in a tool room.

Duties and responsibilities:
•    Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Public/Municipal financial management, as well as supply chain management and logistics.
•    Perform academic administration of undergraduate and postgraduate modules pertaining to learning, teaching, research and assessments.
•    Contribute to curriculum development in the department and faculty.
•    Provide study leadership at a postgraduate level
•    Participate in additional academic activities including, but not limited to, presentation of research papers at national and/or international conferences, as well as involvement in departmental/faculty

Inherent requirements:
•    Master’s degree on NQF Level 9 in Public Administration and Management, passed with a minimum of 70% (please attach academic record).
•    Registered PhD candidate (please attach proof) or indicate intention to register within the first year of the appointment with clear evidence of research focused on the above-stated specialisations. 
 
Recommendations:
•    A PhD degree on NQF Level 10 in Public Administration and Management.
