SENIOR LECTURER IN ICT
Organisational Unit University of Mpumalanga -> Teaching and Learning -> Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Science -> School of Computer and Mathematical Science

Job Primary Purpose
The primary role of this position is to provide teaching, research, and leadership in Information Communication Technology.





Key Performance Areas:
  • The provision of strategic leadership at the level of School and Qualification. 
  • Provision of theoretically informed and pedagogically sound teaching. 
  • Research and the production of accredited research outputs.
  • Postgraduate supervision and the graduation of Masters’ and Doctoral students in the minimum time. 
  • Engagement, through which knowledge and skills are used to benefit the discipline/ profession and the community.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Doctoral qualification in ICT or Computer Science.
  • 5 years at the university level.
  • A strong record of research outputs including papers in accredited national and International journals and presentations at national and international conferences. 
  • A good record of postgraduate supervision at Masters’ level with some of these students publishing their research.
  • Participation in learned societies. 
  • Some application of disciplinary/ professional knowledge and skills to the benefit of the external community.
