EXECUTIVE SECRETARY TO DVC ACADEMIC

The primary role of this position is to ensure effective administrative, co-ordination and support services to the executive office for the smooth running of office activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- M + 3.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a Higher Education environment.
- A Secretarial or Office Management Qualification is a preference.
- Any acceptable combination of both the qualifications and/or experience would be ideal.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the South African Higher Education Sector.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Provision of administrative and/ or functional support to line function, client and staff.
- Delivery of service daily in the relevant area and level of operational specialisation, internal and external i.e. staff and/or staff.
- Processing and co-ordination of documents.
- Directly problem solving with regards to workflows and service flow through the application of relevant knowledge to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
- Compilation of relevant reports.
- Continuous improvement to expedite workflows.
