The African Paediatric Fellowship Program-University of KwaZulu-Natal (APFP-UKZN) is a fellowship program under the auspices of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The aim of the APFP-UKZN is to create a network of skilled African healthcare professionals who can develop capacity in child health through clinical service provision, training, and research in sub-Saharan Africa, to build capacity in Africa to improve child health, to empower skilled healthcare professionals to use their knowledge gained to lobby for improving child health in their home countries and, to support sub-specialist capacity building in South Africa and the African continent 
APFP-UKZN wishes to appoint a Programme Administrator to provide administrative support to the Programme Coordinator and Programme Director. 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 12/Senior Certificate/Matriculation or equivalent 
• Three-year relevant diploma or degree qualification 
• Two years of working experience in an administrator role with relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation 
• Proficiency in Microsoft package and virtual platforms 
• Driver’s licence (Code 08) 
 
Essential Requirements: 
• Experience with website content loading 
• Communication skills in English and sound report writing skills 
• Ability to work independently. 
• Evidence of being a team player, working with the team to deliver the project on time. 
• Experience in planning and coordinating meetings.

Are you interested in becoming a researcher that contributes to the cutting edge of knowledge in the field of Pharmacy, pharmaceutics and laboratory-based research in Drug-Delivery Systems (DDS)? Successful candidates will be employed on by the University while they complete their post-graduate studies (PhD). 
The incumbent will report to the Dean and Head of School of Health Sciences. 
 
Minimum Requirement:
 An undergraduate degree in Pharmacy; 
 A relevant Master’s degree with a pass mark of 70% or above; 
 Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council; 
 Computer Literacy and 
 South African citizen. 
 
 
The successful candidate will be expected to complete a PhD within 5 years of date of assumption of duty. 
 
A brief statement of motivation regarding the applicant’s aspiration to become an academic and a researcher must accompany the application.
