Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified, experienced, and deadline-driven candidates for the above-mentioned positions. The incumbents will be responsible for clinical teaching, accompaniment, and assessment for undergraduate programs. As part of the clinical training team clinical facilitators participate in community engagement which is integrated with teaching and research.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator, Assessor and Moderator
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Five years of clinical working experience in a Midwifery unit/setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Accompany and mentor students in the clinical setting (within the 75/25 clinical/theory ratio).
- Prepare and conduct summative clinical assessments.
- Identify, develop, and implement projects that are tailored for the community, with student involvement.
- Undertake clinical research and publish articles.

- Coordinate the Audit process during the residence external auditing cycle.
- Coordination of budget for the leased residences and liaise with the Budget office regarding all the relevant residence budget matters.
- Liaise with accommodation officers and service providers.
- Managing the placement of students
- Scheduling and planning for the year ahead and future placements
- Provide updated reports for management information.
- Communicate with students and relevant stakeholders (internal and external) via email, telephone, and in person to maintain relationships.
