DIRECTORATE: INFRASTRUCTURE &PLANNING
PROJECT MANAGER: NEW PROJECTS
FIVE YEAR FIXED TERM
TOTAL PACKAGE: R 726 738, 12 PER ANNUM
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Grade 12, three (3) year Degree/National Diploma in Civil engineering or equivalent qualification • Minimum of three (03) years’ experience in Local Government environment particularly in supervisory management position • Registration with ECSA and SACPM or eligible for registration • Strong supervision skills and interpersonal skills • Project Management Certificate, Auto CAD or any other design programme will be an added advantage • Valid Diving licence (code 08 minimum).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: - Presenting a conceptual framework of current and future interventions necessary to achieve acceptable levels and standards of service delivery to the supervisor • Responsible for roads and storm-water maintenance for consideration and inclusion into the departments short/long term performance and service delivery plans • Conducting appraisals to measure performance and objectives accomplishments against agreed targets and reviewing goals and setting new objectives

• Manages the formulation of specific contacts and tender documents and control contractual obligation • Conduct site meetings and supervision of service providers • Ensure budget and control for all projects • Representation in the Council, Standing Committees and other meetings • Budget Management • Repair of potholes • Cleaning the storm/ water drainage (inlet and outlet) • Ensure cleaning of site drains and removal of debris on manholes • Ensure installation of bollards • Supervision of staff.
