PAYROLL PRACTITIONER: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

Requirements: A 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Financial Accounting/Management or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of Sage 300 People. Knowledge and experience in payroll management. Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel is a prerequisite. Knowledge of the BCEA and regulations pertaining to Human Resources Management. Ability to work independently, handle confidential matters and work under pressure. Willingness to work extended hours as and when required.
Additional Advantages: Excellent administrative, communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills. Accuracy in data capturing. Knowledge and experience on Pastel will be an added advantage. Knowledge and experience in uploading payroll files to banking applications.
Main Duties: Familiarise yourself with the Umalusi human capital management organisational policies that might impact payroll management. Administer (calculate and process) monthly staff remuneration – salaries, additional benefits, and claims. Reconciliation and payment of salary deductions to other government agencies and third parties. Release monthly payslips to all staff. Updating the systems and ensuring the latest information is available. Administration of Leave Reconciliations. Compile and submit statutory reports. Export journals for weekly and monthly companies, reconcile and import into Pastel. Supervise the administration of contract management and the weekly payroll company. Perform general payroll functions and Human Resources related functions. Attend to all payroll-related enquiries from staff members.
