Requirements
National Senior Certificate, NCV, SC or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification. An appropriate recognised post matric qualification in the following fields will be an added advantage: administration, stakeholder relations, office management or communication. Knowledge and experience in evaluation and accreditation of private education providers, certification and NQF 1-4 qualifications will be an added advantage. At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in administration and stakeholder relations ? The candidate must be self-motivated, self-managing and have demonstrable knowledge and experience in administration as an important support structure for Umalusi’s quality assurance programmes. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. The successful applicant must have: knowledge and proven understanding of the quality assurance mandate; excellent organizational and coordination skills with extensive skills in Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to work independently, handle confidential matters and the ability to work under pressure.
The incumbent must be self-motivated, self-managing and be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure for extended periods of time independently and in a team. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
 
Duties
As part of the Public Relations and Communications Unit’s administrative support for the extension and maintenance of the quality assurance mandate of Umalusi, the envisaged candidate will: Manage the fraud hotline and the info email. Upload official Umalusi information on Facebook and Twitter. Provide timely responses to email and social media queries and track the use of these platforms three times a week. Develop and update standard responses for email, phone and social media responses. Generate reports on what is happening on the Umalusi social media platforms. Assist in communicating relevant information to staff and editing the internal newsletter. Provide support to organizational events; i.e., workshops, seminars and conferences, etc. Participate in advocacy initiatives such as exhibitions, seminars, webinars, etc. Develop and implement a system for the management of the office of the Senior Manager. Deputise the Assistant Manager to fulfil internal communication tasks. Perform any other duty that may be reasonably assigned by the supervisor.
