Requirements
Honour’s degree in Financial Management and Supply Chain Management or related field. 7 years’ experience at middle management or equivalent level in financial management, supply chain management, financial reporting (monthly and annually) and accounting. Duties
Manage the overall financial management and accounting functions of the organisation. Preparation of and oversight of all financial reports (all legislative requirements). Initiate, design and co-ordinate the annual budgeting process. Responsible for the review of Annual Financial Statements for presentation and submission to External Auditors and National Treasury. Ensuring that budget projections, expenses and revenue forecasts are updated. Manage and develop staff. Undertake any other appropriate assignments that are allocated by the CFO or CEO.

MANAGER: PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Requirements
An Honours Degree (NQF 8 as recognised by SAQA) in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication or related field (A master’s degree would be an added advantage). At least 8 years’ experience within public relations, corporate communication and publications environment of which 3-5 years must be at middle management (Assistant Manager/Assistant Director) level. Knowledge and understanding of South Africa’s General and Further Education and Training sector. Experience in media liaison, coordination and management of a range of projects and events in terms of scope, budget, time and risks

Duties
Support the Senior Manager in executing the functions of the Public Relations and Communications unit. Contribute in the conceptualisation of policy documents, strategic documents, guidelines, procedures and promotional material. Assist to develop and implement Umalusi digital communication strategy and plans. Conceptualise and implement communication plans in line with the corporate communication strategy. Manage and promote Umalusi special projects and campaigns. Oversee the production of publications such as newsletters and flyers, and provide support for the production of Annual Reports, Annual Performance Plans, Strategic Plans etc. Plan for and manage public relations and communications campaigns and events (internally and externally). Provide support in respect of the communication needs of the Office of the CEO and the Council as and when required. Work with management to develop partnerships and networks with relevant external stakeholders and service providers as required. Oversee media monitoring and liaise with all Umalusi units on media monitoring related issues. Management of staff.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Requirements
The applicant must be in possession of a Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. Exposure in working in a Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage. Knowledge of SCM legislation and regulations. Practical experience in Pastel and MS Office. Understanding of principles and application of procedures prescribed by PFMA and treasury Regulations and BBBEE Act. Valid drivers license is a requirement.
Recommendations: Knowledge and experience of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, budgeting and expenditure control and other legislation pertaining to Public Finance. Knowledge of other relevant financial regulations. Provisioning prescripts and administrative procedures, ability to interpret policies. High attention to detail. Must be able to work under pressure. Duties
Assist with the maintenance of an effective, efficient and transparent economical and equitable Supply Chain Management System. Co-ordinate procurement of goods/ services through Pastel accounting system. Administration of request for goods/ services through monthly reporting to Management. Compile reports pertaining to SCM. Regulatory update of contract register, monthly payments of Umalusi contractors, drafting of new contracts/SLA and addendums, filling and safekeeping of documents. Assist with solving Audit queries. Any other functions delegated by the Supply Chain Management Manager.
