Key performance areas/Core functions:
• Design, plan and prepare experimental work (first year to Advanced Diploma).
• Assist academic staff with supervision of practical work in the laboratories (first year to Advanced Diploma).
• Preparation of reagents for undergraduate practical class for Water and Wastewater analysis.
• Administering undergraduate practical reports.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory safety.
• Calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Safety Management, inspections and regular safety risk assessments.
Minimum requirements:
• BTech or Postgraduate Diploma in Water Care or Water Science and Technology.
• At least two years of tutoring and/or research experience at a tertiary institution will be required and/or industry-related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs.
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.

Minimum Requirement
1. Academic qualifications:
• A first degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering meeting the educational requirements for registering as a Professional Engineer or Technologist with ECSA will be an added advantage.
• Doctoral Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Engineering Management (NQF Level 10).
2. Experience:
• Five years’ experience at the Associate Professor level.
• Experience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of programmes, student affairs and research projects.
• Experience in research and postgraduate supervision.
• Industry liaison and involvement in the development of new curricula.
• Experience in leading research chairs, Niche Areas and Centres.
