- To carry out teaching and administration within the school;
- Preparing and conducting lectures;
- To participate in the administration and marking of tests, assignments, examination and other assessments;
- To assist in the development of learning materials;
- To maintain records to monitor the student`s progress , academic achievement and attendance;
- To participate in school and faculty`s seminars;
- To participate in the administration of the school programmes of study and other activities as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- Doctoral Degree relating to any of the above field or an equivalent qualification.
- Masters Degree in relevant field with at least ten years working experience in this field.
- At least three years teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution will be required.
- Member of a professional body is advisable.

PART TIME ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE COORDINATOR (OFO Code: 441903)
FACULTY OF ARTS AND DESIGN

The Office of the Executive Dean in the Faculty of Arts and Design has a part time position for an Academic Excellence Coordinator at the Arts campus.
Critical Performance Areas
- Coordinate the Faculty 1st year orientation programme.
- Coordinate the Faculty Tutorial programme.
- Coordinate the Faculty Mentorship Programme.
- Liaising with Student Development and Support.
- Manage all student referrals to Student Development and Support.
- Monitoring all referrals.
- Organize interventions to improve the Success Rate of 1st year students, readmitted excluded students and students on probation.
- Monitoring 1st year, readmitted excluded students and students on probation.
- Interviewing students experiencing personal and/or other problems.
- Promoting this service through classroom visits, social media etc.
- Liaising with staff of the Faculty of Arts and Design.
- Report to Faculty EXCO on training interventions on monthly basis.
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Education, Psychology or a relevant qualification.
- Four years working experience working among/with young adults requiring remedial; interventions/other counselling.
- Experience in coaching and counselling of students
Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection instruments
