Key performance areas:
• Presenting lectures and assessing students in various subjects (day classes);
• Be responsible for administrative tasks relating to Teaching and Learning;
• Involvement in departmental community projects;
• Compile and maintain quality study guides, subject files and other relevant Teaching and Learning material;
• Liaise with industry regarding WIL matters;
• Assist with Curriculum Development in terms of the HEQSF;
• Attend meetings as required by the Faculty;
• Setting and marking all assessments;
• General administrative duties such as capturing of test and assignment marks on the ITS system and uploading documents on BrightSpace;
• Consultation with students.
 
Minimum requirements:
Academic qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in Public Management/ Public Administration/ Public Affairs /Public Sector Economics/ Political Science;
• A teaching qualification in Higher Education will be an advantage.
 
Experience:
• At least 2 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution is a requirement or more than 5 years experience in the Public Sector;
• Scientific research and publications will be an added advantage.
• Registration with professional body (if applicable).
 
Successful applicants only receive a part-time salary according to TUT Policy. No additional remuneration for travel, relocation, etc.
