The Tshwane School for Business and Society at the Pretoria campus, 159 Nana Sita Street, requires the services of part-time lecturers for the following MBA Saturday classes.
 
The first trimester (January 2024 – April 2024): 
Human Resources and Change Management
Management of Technology and Innovation
Project Management
Operations Management and Operations Research
 
The second trimester (April 2024 – July 2024):
Quality Management 
Business Strategy 
 
The third trimester (August 2024 – October 2024): 
Accounting and Financial Management  
 
Critical Performance Areas
  • To carry out teaching and administration within the school;
  • Preparing and conducting lectures;
  • To participate in the administration and marking of tests, assignments, examination and other assessments;
  • To assist in the development of  learning materials;
  • To maintain records to monitor the student`s progress , academic achievement and attendance;
  • To participate in school and faculty`s seminars;
  • To participate in the administration of the school programmes of study and other activities as requested. 
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree relating to any of the above field or an equivalent qualification.
  • Masters Degree in relevant field with at least ten years working experience in this field.
  • At least three years teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution will be required.
  • Member of a professional body is advisable.

The Faculty of the Arts and Design in the Department of Interior Design has Part time positions for Lecturers at the Arts Campus for the following modules:
Design Principles I; Digital Design I; II & IV; Interior Design I; Interior Design Practice IV,
Interior Design Techniques II, Interior Design Presentation Techniques III; Entrepreneurship I; African Interior Design I & II; Design Project (PG Dip)
 
Critical Performance Areas
  • Setting, Preparing and loading module content and conducting (contact and Online LMS) lectures for the modules.
  • Setting; marking; evaluating and moderating module assessments.
  • Organize site and industry visits and guest speakers.
  • Participating in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
  • Student consultation and success rate management.
  • General administration such as capturing marks on the IT System and compiling of module evidence files; taking register, success rate reporting.
  • Participating in department and faculty community engagement; research and flagship projects (e.g. Arebueng and Arts Festival)
 
Minimum Requirements
  • B-Tech or Advanced Diploma in Interior Design or an equivalent qualification.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design will be an added advantage.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Master’s Degree.
  • At least two years of industry related teaching experience.
  • Software proficiency; relevant to the module applying for.
  • Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in working on online learning management systems.

The Directorate of Extracurricular Development has a Part-time position (3 Months from 1 October to 31 December 2023) for Administrative Assistant based at Pretoria campus.
 
Critical Performance Areas
  • Liaison with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Arrangement of MOU/SLAs between the directorate and stakeholders
  • Handling projects relating to community engagements
  • Coordinate and facilitate projects
  • Engagement with stakeholders
  • Minutes taking and report writing 
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Directorate for Extracurricular Development and Support.
  • Assist with general office management and other related tasks.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • A National Senior Certificate or equivalent
 
Experience
  • 1-year experience in leadership and/or administrative experience in Student Affairs and Extracurricular Development environment
