Re-Advertisement: The Tshwane School for Business and Society (TSB) is searching for an innovative Marketing and Projects Coordinator to assist with the Marketing of the TSB and the coordination of Executive Education and other projects in the school. Critical Performance Areas Marketing & Communication

The SAMRC Unit and the SARChI in Phytomedicine has full-time (40 hours per week) internship positions available for TUT Life Science graduates interested in working in a laboratory research environment. The Interns will be required to broadly provide assistance to the Chair and Director for a period of 12 months. Specific key responsibilities will include:
• Provide assistance to postgraduate students, technical and research staff on specific experimental techniques and the use of specialised laboratory equipment.
• Responsible for stocking of laboratory reagents and consumables.
• Report and follow up with the Technical Service Department of electrical, computer or plumbing issues.
• Initiating purchase orders in compliance with research group ordering procedures .
• Maintain general laboratory and safety compliance ensuring bench tidiness and cleanliness of laboratory areas, including the correct disposal of liquid and solid chemicals and biohazardous materials.
• Ensure correct recording and storage of plant material, voucher specimens and keep updated logs .

Minimum Requirements

• Prior experience in chromatography, mass spectrometry and extraction procedures is also an advantage
