The Department of Crop Sciences in the Faculty of Science is seeking a Part-time Lecturer at the Pretoria West Campus.
Key performance areas/Core functions
• Preparing and conducting lecturers in a multimodal format
• Preparing and conducting practical sessions
• Advanced presentation skills
• Proven ability in using teaching technologies such as myTutor/Brightspace
• Setting and marking of all assessments
• Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings
• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on myTUTor Brightspace
• Student consultation
Minimum Requirements
• Master’s Degree (NQF 9) in Soil Science
• Study record with major subjects
• A minimum of three years of teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution will be required or three years in the industry
• Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite
NUMBER OF HOURS: 12 contact hours per week; Pretoria West. Maximum 19 hours per week.
