The Department of Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing Science, in the Faculty of Science, requires the services of Part- time Clinical Preceptors at Pretoria campus.
 
Key performance areas/Core functions
  • Compilation of placement plans for students according to curriculum specifications
  • Compilation of accompaniment plan according the placement needs of students
  • Clinical accompaniment of nursing students in various health care facilities
  • Facilitation of simulated skills teaching and learning together with the theoretical lecturer
  • Liaise and maintain effective relationships with managers and health care providers in clinical areas
  • Maintain a conducive teaching and learning environment in clinical practice and the skills laboratory
  • Perform administrative tasks related to key performance areas
 
Minimum requirements
Academic qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other relevant qualifications
  • Additional qualification in Nursing Education 
  • Registration at the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional nurse (General, Community, Psychiatry) and midwife.
  • Registration with the SANC as Nurse Educator
  • Registration with the SANC as Assessor and Moderator
 
Experience:
  • Relevant clinical nursing experience of 2 years in one of the following:
    • Medical surgical nursing
    • ICU
    • Psychiatric nursing
    • Community nursing
    • Midwifery
    • Skills lab coordination
    • Clinical preceptorship experience

CAMPUS PROTECTION SERVICES
POLOKWANE CAMPUS

The Campus Protection Services department at the Polokwane campus has two seasonal card operator positions for the 2024 January registration period and thereafter when a need exists.
 
Key performance areas/Core functions:
  • To provide an effective service of issuing access cards to staff and students
  • Responsible for the production of access/ID cards. 
  • Responsible for loading of cards and consumables on the printers. 
  • Act as personal interface between students/staff and CPS card production unit of department. 
  • Provide timeous reports on the stock levels and submit request for replenishment of card and consumables. 
  • Attend and plan for block registration requests. 
  • Maintenance of the filing system 
 
Minimum requirements:
1. Academic qualifications:
  • Grade 12
 
2. Experience:
  • 1-year relevant experience

  • N/A
