The Faculty of Management Sciences, eMalahleni Campus, requires the services of part-time lecturers for day and evening classes.
Critical Performance Areas
• Presenting and conducting lectures and practicals at the undergraduate and Advanced levels
• Assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• Setting and marking of all assessments.
• Teaching and learning with Technology, including the administration of study materials and assessment processes
• Be responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning in the Department of People Management and Development.
• Organise Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums;
• Day-to-day management of teaching programmes,
• Involvement in any teaching and learning activity as may be reasonably assigned to him /her by the Head of Department.
• Participate in the development of study guides and new curricula in line with HEQF structures.
• Involvement in departmental or individual community projects.
• Participating in departmental, subject and industry liaison meetings.
• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on myTUTor.
• Student consultation.
Minimum Requirements
• A relevant Master's Degree (NQF level 9) or Doctoral degree (NQF 10) relating to the fields of study below:
• Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs.
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
• Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory.
• Registration with a relevant professional body is recommended; if not registered with a professional body, you will be required to register within 6 months of accepting the offer
• A driver's license is required for the WIL (Work-Integrated Learning) subject in Administration Information Management (IAX316D).

- Master’s Degree (MEng/MSc/MTech) specialization in Organic Chemistry. Undergraduate qualification: National Diploma or BTech in analytical Chemistry or BSc in Chemistry.

• Use digital tools for online teaching and learning in the Learning Management system.
• Involvement in Teaching Practice for College base learning activities;
• Involvement in Industry base learning activities;
• Involvement in Research activities in the Department;
• Engagement in community projects;
• Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities;
• Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the module you applied for.
Minimum requirements:
Academic qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Education with the relevant specialization or related and equivalent qualification, like M Tech in Education.
Experience:
• 3 years of teaching experience in Higher Education teaching Education related modules and/or 3 years industry experience.
• Experience and competence in the use of technology to manage and teach online classes is highly recommended
Registration with a professional body (if applicable):
• Registered with SACE
