The Office of the Executive Dean in the Faculty of Science requires the services of a part-time Quality Coordinator for the Dental Technology programme.
 
Key performance areas/Core functions:
• The incumbent will be required to coordinate the quality assurance and control mechanisms for the Diploma in Dental Technology programme in the Department of Sport, Rehabilitation and Dental Sciences.
 
Key Performance Areas/Core functions:
• Assist the Dental Technology quality team, to make sure that every teaching and learning and assessment activity in the department is continuously reviewed
• Developing frameworks for the implementation of recommendations of the quality audit reports
• Monitoring and evaluation of the quality implementation plan
• Weekly progress reporting to the Executive Dean
• Evaluation of the portfolio of evidence of the QIP
• Assist with checklists and preparation for programme accreditation visit
Minimum Requirements
• PhD in a Health Science related field
• Extensive experience in accreditation of a Health Science programme
• Extensive experience in compilation of a self-evaluation report (SER) and implementation of quality improvement plan (QIP)

The Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering require the services of part-time Lecturers for the following Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry subjects, paid per hour up to a maximum of 12 hours per week: 
BEngTech: Chemical Engineering Subjects: 
• Chemical Engineering Fundamentals II (CF2115B) 
• Chemical Process Optimisation and Control (CPO216B) 
• Chemical Engineering Design II – Plant (CEL317B) 
• Organic Chemistry (ORH115B) 
• Physical Chemistry (PHC115B) 
Bsc Industrial Chemistry Subjects: 
• Process Control III (PCL317P) 
 
Minimum Requirements 
• MEng/ MSc/ MTech qualification in Chemical Engineering for BEngTech Chemical Engineering & BSc Industrial Chemistry subjects. 
• MEng/ MSc/ MTech qualification in Chemistry for BEngTech Chemical Engineering, ORH115B & PHC115B subjects 
• 3 years relevant teaching experience at at Tertiary level and/or 3 years experience in industry. 
 
Critical performance arrears: 
• Lecturing of the above-named subjects. 
• Standard academic duties and responsibilities. 
• Evaluate students on a continuous basis as well as administer tests and assignments according to study guides. 
• Community service and Industry Liaison 
• Research, innovation or community involvement 
• Setting, preparing and conducting lectures for the subjects. 
• Marking all assessments. 
• Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings. 
• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on leaning management system and compiling of subject file(s). 
• Student consultation. 
• Experience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of program, student affairs, human resources, facilities, and research projects. 
 
Knowledge and skills 
• Experience with BEng Tech-Chemical Engineering curriculum and assessment of GAs
• Training skills relating to the broad Engineering Spectrum 
• Experience in entering of marks and printing of class list. 
• Computer Literacy.

Registration to a Professional Body will be an advantage.

Department: Safety Health and Environment has a 3 months temporary/part time position for a Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Officer. The successful candidate will render effective Safety Health and Environment services at the Soshanguve South and North Campuses of the University. 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
• NQF level 6 
• (A relevant 3-year qualification with a minimum of 360 credits) 
• 2 Years experience in Safety Health and Environment. 
 
Critical Performance Areas 
• Maintenance of SHE program on learning site. 
• Coordinate SHE training of staff. 
• Implementation of SHE action plans. 
• Reporting and record-keeping. 
 
Knowledge and skills 
• Knowledge of all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety. 
• SHE legislation. 
• Compensation claims and administration. 
• Safety inspections. 
• Risk assessments. 
• Reporting and SHE committee structures. 
• Investigations into accidents and SHE related incidents.
