The Faculty of Science: Department of Physics requires the services of Part- Time Lecturers at the Arcadia and Pretoria Campus
 
Key performance areas
  • Preparing and conducting lectures.

  • Participating in departmental meeting and subject meeting.
  • General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on myTUTor; and

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree (applicable to position)
  • At least three years` teaching and/or research experience at a tertiary institution (industry related experience will be commended).
  • Proven ability in using online teaching technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs.
  • Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
  • Member of a professional body will be an added advantage.
  • Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory, during your contract duration.

The Faculty of Economics and Finance requires the services of Part-time lecturers for day and evening classes at the Mbombela Campus.
 
Day classes start from 08:00 – 17:00 & Night Classes Start from 17h00 – 22h00

Part-time Lecturers are needed in the department of Information Technology, Faculty of ICT. 
 
Key performance areas/Core functions: 
  • Preparing all lecture materials, assessments, and related documents 
  • Presenting lectures and assessing students in the department 
  • Performing administration of marks and other related administrative duties under subject head, sectional head and HOD supervision.

PART-TIME: LECTURERS X2
FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

DEPARTMENT: AUDITING

The Department of Auditing has 2 part-time Lecturers contract positions available at the Ga-Rankuwa campus to teach Auditing subjects:
Position 1:  A 6-hours per week appointment for Saturday classes for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Internal Auditing.
Position 2: A 19-hours per week appointment for auditing subjects during the week (a 6-months contract).
 
Critical Performance Areas
  • To provide teaching and learning with the integration of technology as part of the teaching and learning strategy in Auditing and Internal Auditing 
  • Responsible for administrative tasks related to (but not limited to) teaching and learning, such as marking scripts, maintaining a subject portfolio file and capturing of marks.
  • To be actively involved in the departmental committees, activities and community projects.
  • Compile and maintain quality study guides, examination question papers and memorandums.
  • Liaise with industry, advisory committee meetings, industry visits and other related activities.
 
Minimum Requirements
Academic qualifications:
  • An Honours degree or Post-Graduate Diploma (level 8) in Internal Auditing from a recognized university and a professional designation CA (SA) or CIA.
  • A relevant master’s degree (level 9) will be a strong recommendation.
 
Experience:
  • Three years teaching experience in the related subject field, or at least three years relevant industry experience.
  • Other discipline-related work will be highly recommended.
 
Registration with professional body (if applicable)
Membership and involvement in the professional bodies of the discipline as well as professional registration where applicable.
