• Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings.
• Advanced presentation skills.

Minimum Requirements

The Office of the Executive Dean in the Faculty of Management Sciences requires the services of part-time Business and Entrepreneurial Coaches for the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development under its Department of Management & Entrepreneurship.
Business and Entrepreneurial Coaches (Project-based)
The project(s) intends to address the critical needs of entrepreneurs by providing practical business & entrepreneurship skills, mentorship and access to business networks for start-up businesses.
Core functions:
- To carry out facilitation and administration for the project.
- Preparing and conducting lectures and workshops.
- To participate in the administration and evaluation assignments, portfolio of evidence, etc.
- To assist in developing learning materials, activities, and assignments.
- To maintain records to monitor the beneficiaries/learners/students’ progress, achievement and attendance.
- To assist in beneficiary/student consultation.
- Assist prospective beneficiaries/students with enhancement of their business plans.
- Provide managerial advice in all management functions (general management, strategy, marketing, human capital, operations, financial management, personal mastery, etc.) to enhance business performance and promote sustainability.
- Handhold, guide, and direct the beneficiaries/students/mentee towards achieving agreed objectives.
- Provide support and opportunities for development, and help the beneficiaries/students/mentee address identified issues and challenges.
- Impart knowledge and skills to help beneficiaries/students/mentees grow and fulfil their business potential.

- Experience in working with Youth and Adult entrepreneurs.
- Ability to understand various business sectors (e.g. Manufacturing, Farming, Construction, Technology, Green Economy, etc.).
- Ability to plan, analyse, implement and monitor business support interventions.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive intervention reports on progress achieved.
- Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to clients.
- Ability to guide, counsel, advise and mentor beneficiaries/students.
- Assessor and moderator knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Being a member of a professional body will be an added advantage.
- Experience as a mentor/coach for a similar project will be an added advantage.
