PART-TIME NETBALL COACH - SEVEN (7) MONTHS CONTRACT

The Department of Sport and Recreation has a seven (7) months Part-Time Netball Coach position at the Polokwane Campus.
Critical Performance Areas/Core Functions
• To coach the TUT Netball Polokwane Team in the federation Leagues and other related competitions.
• Planning, organizing and executing practice sessions according to the needs and demands of the team.
• Plan and organize trials for talent identification and recruitment of new players to the club.
• Promoting fair play.
• Resolving team issues and mentoring players.
• Be an example to the other technical team members and players to provide a positive atmosphere.
• Provide reports on the development of players, matches, etc.
Minimum Requirements
• Matric/ Post matric qualification will be an added advantage.
• NSA Level 1 Accreditation (effective/ valid) or Higher will be an added advantage.
• Coaching experience at Club, District or Provincial level.
• Coaching in USSA/Super League/ Provincial/Competitions will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English.
• Computer Literacy.
• Code 8 or 10 Driver’s license.
• No criminal record

• Responsible for assessing the performance of athletes under your expert direction
• Responsible for teamwork and team building management
• Oversee developing tactics and training activities
• Ability to communicate effectively with athletes and administrators
• Report writing
• Comply with the ASA Coaches Code of Behaviour
• Ability to work under pressure
• Be assertive and professional
• Willingness to develop his/her coaching skills further through courses and workshops
Minimum Requirements
Academic Qualifications.
• ASA level 1 or 2 Accreditation (effective/valid)
• World Athletics Qualification will be an added advantage
Experience:
• Coaching experience at Club, Provincial or District level
• Coaching in USSA, Provincial competitions will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in English
• Safeguarding Certificate
• Computer Literacy
• Willingness and availability to work after hours and weekends
• Knowledge of Athletics structures and policies of ASA
• Code 8 or 10 driver’s license
