​ADMINISTRATION CLERK: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS)

SALARY: R216 417.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits
DURATION: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Requirements: Matric/NQF Level 4 Certificate plus a National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in safety management. 1 - 2 years’ work experience within the OHS and Safety Management field.
Knowledge and understanding of OHS related policies, processes, including COIDA, and safety management principles. A valid driver’s license.
 
Competencies, Abilities and Skills: Administrative, planning and organizing; Financial management; Report writing; Communication and interpersonal skills; Problem solving, Computer literacy, Analytical abilities, Client oriented, and Project management.
 
Duties: Assist with the daily management of statistics and records for OHS related matters. Provide an administrative support in the coordination and implementation of safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) initiatives. Arrange logistics for OHS committee meetings and provide a secretariat function. 
Provide support in the identification of hazards and risks in delivery sites. Receive and record cases of injury on duty (IOJ), and COIDA applications. Assist with the implementation of OHS risk assessment.

​STATE ACCOUNTANT: BUSINESS UNIT

SALARY: R308 154.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits
DURATION: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Requirements: Matric/NQF Level 4 Certificate plus a recognised National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 2- 3 years working experience in the Financial Management field. 
Knowledge and experience in financial management, reporting and budgeting, understanding of public finance related policies and processes, including Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA and CET Act, knowledge of GRAP. A valid driver’s license.
 
Competencies, Abilities and Skills: Administrative and financial planning and organizing. Financial management. Reporting and budgeting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software’s. 
Communication and interpersonal skills. Problem solving. Computer literacy. Analytical abilities. Client oriented. Project management skills. Teamwork, Leadership traits. Experience in managing income generating projects and business development in the education sector would be an added advantage.
 
Duties: Assist in the development and management of third-stream income strategies for the College’s Business Unit. Oversee and coordinate financial reporting and analysis of income-generating activities. Reconcile and monitor income-generating accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with financial regulations. 
Provide financial advice and assistance to the Business Unit on revenue-generation projects. Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the Business Unit. 
Monitor and evaluate the performance of third-stream income initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve financial bottlenecks that may impede business operations. 
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Implement financial metrics and analytics to improve efficiencies within the Business Unit.
