EXECUTIVE MANAGER: INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
(5-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To lead the planning, designing and development of world class infrastructure and related services for current Phases and future Phases of Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
People Management
- Lead senior technical teams and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Build high-performance cultures across diverse teams, ensuring accountability and delivery.
- Guiding, coaching, developing staff, adhering to relevant policies and procedure to manage staff performance
- Managing the performance of Staff by embracing the Values of the Organisation to ensure effective and productive performance of staff
- Direct land negotiations with government and private stakeholders.
- Secure land for SEZ acquisition & expansion, ensuring strategic alignment with investor requirements and sustainable land use.
- Provide executive-level leadership on SPLUMA compliance.
- Navigate municipal and government approvals with established networks and influence.
- Develop and execute master infrastructure plans for roads, utilities, and facilities.
- Develop and implement carbon reduction strategies.
- Overseeing the planning, design development and implementation of the SEZ infrastructure
- Ensuring operational readiness of the SEZ.
- Guarantee adherence to carbon reduction targets.
- Provide support to other divisions.
- Alignment of the Infrastructure Division with organisational strategy.
- Stakeholder relations.
- Manage multi-billion-rand budgets with precision.
- Ensure transparent governance and reporting to stakeholders.
- Developing policies & procedures
- Identifying, mitigating and monitoring potential business risks
- Ensure compliance with Audits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 with degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent Built Environment Qualification. (BSc Eng, BTech Eng, BEng)
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in the Built Environment, with at least 5 years in senior management level in Infrastructure Development environment.
- Professional registration with ECSA/SACPCMP required.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Built Environment/ Project Management will be an added advantage

- Strong financial and risk management acumen in large-scale projects.
- Knowledge in Forms of Contract in the Built Environment
- SEZ infrastructure development experience
- Automotive hub experience
- Knowledge of SPLUMA, and municipal processes.

- Demonstratable experience in SEZ Infrastructure Programme.
- Demonstratable experience in large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
- Demonstratable experience in executive-level government and private sector liaison
- Demonstratable experience in large scale multi-disciplinary construction projects
- Demonstratable experience working with SHE legislation in the built Environment
