Position Purpose
The Manager Collaboration Systems will be responsible for the implementation of collaboration systems in alignment to the group collaboration services lead. The role will conduct in-depth analysis of end-user and team workflows and implement such collaborative tools to foster collaboration and facilitate faster process turnaround times and integration between teams and functions within the Corporate Centre.
Position Outputs
• Evaluates and recommends associated solutions based on business requirements and user needs • Responsibilities include providing technical leadership in the design, development and promotion of selected collaboration strategies • Actively involved in engineering and deploying various collaboration applications. •Mapping the following collaborative theories to the Microsoft platform; information architecture, records management, policy & retention, document assembly, collaboration and routing, and business process management •Providing leadership around new and emerging SharePoint development and integration with other technical tools and systems • Developing technical specifications based on functional requirements •Developing test plans and providing quality assurance on all SharePoint development. •Building the SharePoint look and feel as well as potential integration into established social media platforms to derive business value. •Implementing SharePoint standards and development methodology •Developing end-user training plans •Leading the coordination effort with cross functional teams (technical, systems, business, vendors, etc.) to assess problem scope, impact, and characteristics and identifies causes to make appropriate decisions on resolution or interim work around •Responsible for smooth deployment and transition to operations
• Planning and implementing software version upgrade releases •User Access Management •Collates data and produces reports related to collaboration and social media usage and adoption and presents the analysis to management to demonstrate value •SQL Server Integration Services Administration, configuration and customization of SharePoint including developing and implementing custom and third-party Web Parts •Other responsibilities as assigned by ICT Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Experience: •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. •Experience with collaboration technologies, tools and relevant platforms •A solid understanding of business workflows and capabilities of SharePoint Designer 2007/2010, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server • Experience in architecting, implementing and supporting Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 and/or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 solutions. •Experience in we based technologies such as HTML/CSS o Solid SQL experience
