THE KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS OF THE ROLE IN FOCUS, ARE:
1. DTN Maintenance
• Maintenance and Routine Maintenance of pumps, valves, hydraulic equipment and ventilation systems in the dewatering shafts and access audits in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance Manuals;
• Regularly inspect all lifting equipment & ladders and ensure its certification.
2. DTN System Operation
• Periodic operation of pumps and Ventilation systems in the dewatering shafts and the access audits in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
3. Ash River, Caledon and Little Caledon and other
• Monitor behaviour of erosion protection structures constructed in the Ash River and identify areas for further remedial measures;
• Liaise with landowners on activities affecting them;
• Maintain the servitude area along the river free of invasive vegetation;
• Take regular displacement measurements of Botterkloof Dam.
4. Other Services
• Monthly record Dihlabeng water consumption from tunnel;
• Monthly reporting on activities;
• Maintain and repair to TCTA owned houses.
5. People Management
• Responsible for the management and development of resources reporting to this function.
