PROJECT SCHEDULER
 
The Scheduler forms a critical part of the project controls team responsible for the related planning and scheduling of projects to assist the project teams during all the phases of the project. Planning information resides with the Scheduler for use in developing and maintaining baselines to use for performance analysis and reporting on project status. Other critical responsibilities include validation of project performance information through on-site inspections.

THE KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS OF THE ROLE IN FOCUS, ARE:
1. Develop project schedule on the basis of approved project controls principles
2. Setup systems and tools to facilitate integrated project performance measurement using approved cost and schedule baselines
• Form partnerships and relationships with project teams to facilitate collaborative data sharing within developed Primavera systems to enable collaborative utilization for success of projects.
3. Compile reports
• Prepare and submit monthly status and variance reports and progress performance to various stakeholders within the structure in approved charter per project
• Develop basic project tracking control charts (S-Curves histograms etc. Maintain a master schedule that summarizes all the projects into an executive level.
4. Support to Project Office and Other Functions
• Performs other project controls duties as assigned by management.
• Prepare lessons learned on completed projects regarding schedule management.
• Maintain quality assurance and control on project controls activities.
• Training to other schedulers and project staff on proper scheduling techniques as requested
• Attend Site progress meetings and support to the Project Manager.

 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• BTech or equivalent, in any of Built Environment Disciplines
• Primavera, P6
• 5 years minimum experience in Primavera based scheduling
• 3 years design or construction site experience in Built Environment Projects
• PMI-SP, PMP or SACPCMP certification will be an added advantage
